I'm being secretive with this because I don't want it to cause an international incident. It's just a silly doodle, anyway.
I've been responding to hysterical media coverage of Fukushima Dai-Ichi by reading about nuclear power and other nuclear accidents. It's interesting, for sure.
SO I DREW NUCLEAR ACCIDENT-TANS! IT'S ALL BASED ON FACTS I READ:

Chernobyl (top left)
International Nuclear Event Scale Rating: 7
Appearance: A consumptive beauty with long flowing hair, representing the plumes of smoke that covered several countries in Russia and Eastern Europe in radioactive ash. Wears a fine peasant's dress, and has the largest chest. Incidentally, drinking local milk was the best way of picking up radioactivity after the accident.
Personality: A loner with an extremely gloomy aura. She is quiet, and doesn't let people know what's bothering her right away*. Her secretive personality makes everyone want to know more about her, but when you find out what happened to her, the sheer horror will leave you speechless. Everyone except her caretakers have learned to stay far away from her, and she likes it that way.
*the Soviet Union waited 1 week to tell anyone a reactor was shitting smoke everywhere.
Fukushima Dai-Ichi (bottom)
International Nuclear Event Scale Rating: 5(as of this writing)
Appearance: A sailor suited meganekko with four pigtails representing the four overheating and exploding reactors.
Personality: Under normal circumstances, she is serious and very hard-working. As a "middle child," she's been overlooked and neglected by her caretakers. When she is pushed past her limit, she lashes out at those around her and becomes very violent and dangerous. Her sailor hat frequently flies off when she's angry.
Three Mile Island (top right)
International Nuclear Event Scale Rating: 5
Appearance: A simple 5-year old country girl with pigtails and a cooling-tower hat. Despite being the 'oldest' accident, I think she should be depicted as the youngest because she's the least dangerous.
Personality: A cheerful and optimistic child who is unfortunately extremely clumsy. She's always making hilarious mistakes. Her caretakers like to watch scary movies*, and thus worry and fuss over her.
*"The China Syndrome," released a week before T.M.I.
